As a single player i found it very boring very quickly.. I love the art style and the gameplay is fun, albeit basic and simple, but my biggest issue comes from how little content and replayability it has for a roguelike. I nearly beat the game within the time I played (a little over an hour) and while I know there is a loop option similar to Nuclear Throne, it's variety within the weapons and characters are no where near the extent of said game.The bosses are fairly unique and I never felt they were unfair, but the game felt so RNG for how the floors went. I could go an entire level without seeing a shop, which wouldn't be an issue if the game incentivizes you to hold many of the artifacts that can either give a minor hindrance to praying to RNGesus that the shop will show up soon. Speaking of the shop, it was also underwhelming, you simply pay for different guns which are barely unique and often lackluster.I just can't recommend this to anyone unless they plan on playing co-op (which is local\/split screen I may add) and enjoying the simplicity with friends.. The game is in dire need of:More floor variation.More bosses with more than a single attack pattern.More weapons and trinkets that aren't complete trash.More balanced runs, the RNG is crazy in this game.More content.Game has potential but content wise it feels like flash game.. This game is pretty great. Get it now, while it's on sale! I have only 5 hours in, but the diversity of characters and artefacts basically guarantees that I'll be playing a lot more. The runs are super quick. The risk\/reward system is unlike any I've played before, and is frickin' fantastic. You basically take temporary debuffs and have to bring them to a store, that may or may not spawn very soon (RNG). You trade those buffs for permanent upgrades to yourself. Some debuffs can be pretty crippling, but the greater the risk, the greater the reward.Since the devs are super into accepting feedback, these are things that I don't love about the game:I'm very tired of fighting the first boss over and over again. Thievery could use a little more depth. Right now, you just don't pay for a gun, and the shopkeeper disappears for the loop.Characters should be easier to customize (in-game customization would be ideal).I know it's the point of the mines, but they're too dark.Would be nice if coins were used more for anything other than guns. Slot\/vending machines in levels would be cool.9\/10. It's a good idea that needs refinement. For now, it's a bit too frustrating to recommend. Perhaps some improvements to balance and a few design decisions will come over time and turn these disappointments around.. Pretty good. It's basically Enter the Gungeon with birds. Though in its current state I can't really recommend it. The gimmick of the game is to pick up artifacts that decrease your stats or give you harsh stipulations. You can enter the shop to trade in these artifacts for positive boost items. Here lies the problem. The game is dependent on the fact you have to pick up detrimental garbage to get the good stuff. The appearance rate of the shop is random, meaning it's possible to go 10 floors without a shop all while carrying garbage. You get shops when you don't have any artifact and when you DO the room is filled with more enemies than usual that pretty much ends in your death.I think it would help if after every boss there was a shop. It's a simple solution to circumvent the randomness.Another minor issue is when purchasing a new weapon. It'd be nice to see the comparison to your current weapon and a demonstration of what the weapon does. If the game is going to have more weapons in the future this would certainly help.It's still early release however and I can recommend it because I'm sure there will be updates that fixes these issues.
